Where does REBO coffee come from?
For
now, REBO is not involved in the agricultural process. The
company relies on farmers concentrated mostly in the southern
part of Haiti:
Port-à-Piment, Thiottes, and Jérémie, all located in fairly high
altitudes. Thanks to the favorable climate conditions, the
farmers provide excellent coffee beans from August to April.
How is the coffee harvested?
When
the cherries are ripe, they are handpicked. This very demanding
labor requires numerous trips back and forth from the
harvesters. This is however, the only way to guarantee REBO’s
coffee quality.
